Hans Larson Joseph, known artistically as Hansypix, is a portrait photographer and visual artist based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Since discovering photography in June 2022, it has become his passion and a true language—from soul to soul. Through his lens, he seeks to capture raw emotion—the kind that lives in the gaze and lingers in silence.
Hansypix takes a deeply human approach to portrait photography. He pays close attention to eye expressions, believing that's where real emotions reside. Each session becomes a moment of connection—a silent exchange where the lens captures what words cannot. His mastery of light, framing, and directing his subjects allows him to create sincere, intimate, and powerful portraits. Through thoughtful Photoshop retouching, he enhances each image while preserving the subject's authenticity, revealing beauty in its truest form.
In parallel, he explores a more artistic style of photography—one that gives space to imagination, symbolism, and visual storytelling. He designs each image as a complete work of art, guided by emotion, atmosphere, or a message to be shared. His process is intuitive and deeply inspired by Haitian culture, identity, memory, and inner emotion. Through bold composition choices and delicate editing, he transforms his camera into a tool for visual poetry.

Hans Larson Joseph, connu sous le nom d’artiste Hansypix, est un photographe portraitiste et artiste visuel basé à Port-au-Prince, Haïti. Depuis qu’il a découvert la photographie en juin 2022, elle est devenue pour lui sa passion et un véritable langage d’âme à âme. À travers son objectif, il cherche à capturer l’émotion brute, celle qui se loge dans les regards et traverse les silences.
Hansypix développe une approche profondément humaine de la photographie de portrait. Il accorde une attention particulière à l’expression des yeux, convaincu que c’est là que résident les véritables émotions. Chaque séance devient une rencontre, un échange silencieux où l’objectif capte ce que les mots ne peuvent dire. Sa maîtrise de la lumière, du cadrage et de la direction du modèle lui permet de créer des portraits sincères, intimes et puissants. Grâce à un travail de retouche naturelle sous Photoshop, il sublime l’image tout en préservant l’authenticité du sujet, révélant la beauté dans toute sa vérité.
En parallèle, il explore une photographie plus artistique, où il laisse place à l’imaginaire, à la symbolique et à la narration visuelle. Il conçoit chaque image comme une œuvre à part entière, guidée par une émotion, une atmosphère ou un message à transmettre. Sa démarche est intuitive, souvent inspirée par la culture haïtienne, l’identité, la mémoire et les états intérieurs. Par des choix de composition audacieux et une retouche délicate, il transforme l’appareil photo en outil de poésie visuelle.
