Our Story

  • Atizay Art Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization and creative community rooted in the celebration and advancement of Black visual artists.

    We curate thoughtful, engaging experiences—like exhibitions, artist spotlights, and creative gatherings—that center culture, connection, and visibility. Whether through artist-led events, city-based showcases, or our growing virtual magazine, we’re building spaces—both online and in person—where artists and art lovers can come together to create, share, and grow.

    Atizay exists to support Black visual artists at every stage of their journey. Whether emerging or established, we’re here to create meaningful opportunities for artists to share their work, connect with others, and grow their practice. We believe art is a way to tell stories, spark dialogue, and bring people together—and we're proud to be building a creative community where Black artistry is seen, supported, and celebrated.

Our Team

  • Christie Eustache

    FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Christie is an architect, visual artist, and the founder of Atizay Art Collective. With roots grounded in Haitian culture and a passion for visual storytelling, she brings a multidimensional approach to creating intentional, art-centered spaces for community and connection.

    Through Atizay, Christie blends her architectural eye, creative spirit, and cultural heritage to curate experiences that amplify Black visual artists and foster deeper engagement with art and identity. Whether designing spaces, producing art, or building platforms for others, her work reflects a deep commitment to beauty, structure, and purpose.

  • Zarita Zevallos

    CREATIVE COMMUNITY LIAISON

    Zarita Zevallos is a Haitian photographer, conceptual artist, and architect based in Brooklyn, NY. Known for her striking use of materials like thread, bullets, and barbed wire in her photography, Zarita explores powerful themes such as identity, gender, and resistance to political oppression. Her work, featured in renowned galleries like the Steven Kasher Gallery and Photoville, pushes boundaries and invites deep reflection. At Atizay, Zarita brings her creative vision and expertise to foster meaningful connections, amplifying the voices of Black artists and expanding our global community.

  • Nicky Minuit

    MARKETING & ENGAGEMENT LEAD

    Nicky is passionate about expanding the platform through strategic collaborations and partnerships. With a background in marketing and communications, she thrives on bringing people together and creating opportunities for connection. Nicky believes in the transformative power of art and is committed to enhancing Atizay’s impact. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys exploring new cultures and cuisines, and she is excited to foster a vibrant community where creativity flourishes and everyone can discover their best selves.

  • Axelle Baril

    EVENTS & CREATIVE PROGRAMS MANAGER

    Axelle is a New York based events and creative programs professional with experience in both creative and corporate settings. She serves as Office Manager and Assistant to the Head of Office & Partner at a Luxembourg-based law firm, where she manages operations and supports leadership. Axelle also manages and plans programs for Atelier Artist. She holds an associate’s degree in Event Management and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, combining creative vision with strong business expertise. Fluent in French, Haitian Creole, and English, she enjoys cooking, surfing, and pottery as ways to stay inspired and connected.
