CASSANDRINE DESTIMA
is a Haitian photographer born in Plaisance du Nord and raised in Sarthe, a neighborhood of Cité Soleil. It was during her medical studies that she discovered a deep passion for photography. In 2021, she joined the Kamera m Chanje Vi’m training program, followed by additional courses—many online—and a cinematography program with Cinéma Nous.
As an independent photographer, Cassandrine specializes in fine art photography, whether in portraits or event coverage. She always brings a personal and artistic touch to her work.
As vice president of AFPHA (Association of Haitian Women Photographers), she advocates for fairer representation of women in the visual arts and image-based professions.
In 2024, she launched two major projects:
Rétro Shoot, a series of vintage-inspired photographs
Les Jeux de la Dame, a visual exploration of the female body, power, and freedom
That same year, she was awarded Influential Photographer of the Year by Kwonik Ekonobiz.
In 2025, she was nominated for the African Photography Oscars in Togo and invited to the Femmes, Vies, Libertés festival, organized by ON STAGE PHOTOGRAPHY in France.
Cassandrine is a powerful voice in the new generation of Haitian visual artists, blending creative expression with deep commitment.

Est une photographe haïtienne née à Plaisance du Nord et ayant grandi à Sarthe, un quartier de Cité Soleil. C’est au cœur de ses études en médecine qu’elle découvre une passion profonde pour la photographie. En 2021, elle intègre le programme Kamera m Chanje Vi’m pour se former, avant de poursuivre d’autres formations, notamment en ligne, et un programme en cinématographie à Cinéma Nous.
Photographe indépendante, Cassandrine se spécialise dans la photographie d’art, qu’il s’agisse de portraits ou d’événementiel. Elle y apporte toujours une touche personnelle et artistique.
Vice-présidente de l’AFPHA (Association des Femmes Photographes Haïtiennes), elle milite pour une représentation plus équitable des femmes dans les arts visuels et les métiers de l’image.
En 2024, elle lance deux projets forts :
Rétro Shoot, une série de photographies aux inspirations vintage
Les Jeux de la Dame, une exploration visuelle du corps féminin, entre puissance et liberté
La même année, elle reçoit le prix de Photographe influente de l’année décerné par Kwonik Ekonobiz.
En 2025, elle est nommée aux Oscars de la Photographie Africaine au Togo, et est invitée au festival Femmes, Vies, Libertés, organisé par ON STAGE PHOTOGRAPHY en France.
Cassandrine représente une voix forte de la jeune génération d’artistes visuels haïtiens, mêlant engagement et création visuelle.
